The Wolaita Zone Justice Department is committed to ensuring that this work process, any legal documents, contracts, and professional licenses issued within our zone have integrity and play their part in strengthening the justice system.
Key Services of Our Work Process
This work process carries out interrelated functions that are extremely important for citizens:
Authentication of legal documents: We verify that various contracts, powers of attorney, and other legal documents are prepared in accordance with the law and are authentic, thereby protecting citizens’ rights and property from fraud.
Oversight of legal professionals: We ensure that lawyers providing legal defense and advisory services have sufficient knowledge and professional ethics, and we monitor the quality of their services.
Registration and oversight of associations: We provide support and supervision so that civic associations and professional associations operating in our zone are registered and licensed according to the law and work for the public good.
This new website, wolaitajustice.gov.et, brings renewed energy to our service delivery. Through the website, our clients who previously could only access information in person can now:
- Learn in detail the prerequisites and documents needed to authenticate any contract or document, as well as to obtain or renew licenses.
- Save time and avoid inconvenience by increasing transparency in the service delivery process.
- Access a list of legally registered and licensed lawyers in the zone, protecting the public from illegal brokers.
Any legal relationship or professional work gains a guarantee when it operates under the umbrella of the law. Therefore, I call upon lawyers and civic associations to renew their licenses on time and uphold their professional ethics, demonstrating their partnership for the success of the justice system. We also remind our citizens that when entering into any contractual agreements, they should have them authenticated through our department to uphold their rights.
